Book Reviews
I was quite late to the game with this novel, but I believe that little bit of added maturity and life knowledge enhanced Neil Gaiman's fairytale for adults, Stardust, for me. I do not regret my tardiness in this instance.
Of course I was no stranger to the film, I had seen it not long after its release date in October 2007. I was eight and all I saw was the magic and glorious costumes. With age I have grown to love the story of Tristran and Yvaine and the thrilling adventure to unveil the next King of Stormhold. Both the movie and Gaiman's novel tell this story beautifully albeit with slight differences. These small differences do not take away from the base of the plot line and both formats of the story have their own quirks that works for them.
